An insight on discouragement in the race of life. Heb 12:1-3 BY ARUNA RAI LAMA

Discouragement: A loss of confidence or loss of enthusiasm, dispiritedness, disappointment .

Downhearted, depression, hopelessness, low-spirit, lack of confidence.

Introduction

At some point in the practice everyone feels discouraged. And it is something that we all live with from time to time.

It is always easy for us to allow the pressures, burdens of life to overwhelm us and cause us to despair.

Discouragement is one of the evil factor which has caused many people to drop out of the Church and even from the seminaries. It has caused them to quit on God.

Yes, I know we all get discouraged at some point of our lives. Some in this very moment are discouraged in your walk with the LORD. You may be thinking to slow down your race.

You may be considering dropping out on the LORD. But before you do that, Let’s have a look in the Bible what it says:
2 Tim 1:7 says, ‘for God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power and of love and of a sound mind’.

Remember, God did not save you and me to live our life in a state of discouragement.
I believe, the Bible teaches us that it is possible to win the battle over discouragement.
God has a plan to deliver us from the weakening effect of discouragement.

CONCLUSION
Don’t let discouragement get you down! If you are battling right now, come to JESUS, Let HIM refocus your priorities, lighten your load.
Come let’s re-adjust our vision, let’s fix our eyes unto the cross. Let’s run our race patiently for his glory.
